My name is Heather Thomas and I am the preschool director! This is my first year at Ahwatukee Preschool. I attended ASU for my Bachelors in Elementary Education and earned my Masters in Education Administration from GCU. During this time, I also completed both my reading and early childhood endorsements. I have worked in the education field for over 20 years, as a teacher, coach, and administrator, with children ages 4 to 14.

I am a native Arizonan and married to one as well! We have two daughters, ages 10 and 12, who keep us very busy with club soccer. When we aren’t at the soccer fields, we enjoy playing board games and traveling to cooler parts of Arizona. We also spend time serving as a family in the preschool ministry at our church.

I knew from a small age I wanted to work with children and positively impact their life. What I didn’t know then is just how much each child would impact me! It is such a joy to be able to share the love of Jesus and watch the children grow throughout the year.  I feel very fortunate to be a part of this community and look forward to working with our families as we help grow and develop these young children.
